To be considered for the apprenticeship program, students should meet the following qualifications:
- Be a U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the United States .
- Be at least 17 years old at the time of application and 18 years old by the start of the apprenticeship in August .
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) .
- Be able to successfully complete an aptitude assessment that measures basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Be physically able to climb ladders and scaffolding, bend, stoop, crawl, and work in confined spaces as required in a hands-on shop environment.
- Be capable of lifting, carrying, and working with tools and materials commonly used in agricultural and diesel equipment service.
- Be able to pass a job-related physical exam and required drug screening , and remain free of non-prescription drug use throughout the apprenticeship.
- Have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record acceptable to Stoller’s insurance requirements .
- Be able to read, hear, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions .
- Demonstrate a positive attitude , a willingness to learn , and the ability to work well with a team .
- Be committed to following all safety rules and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
